Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail.     Frenchie was fantastic from the moment we stepped inside until the moment we left. The food was delicious. We got oysters to start. They were as sweet as candy. I ordered the duck and my husband ordered the steak frites. Both meals were absolutely delectable!!! I have had duck many, many times over the years and I must say tonight's duck was superb! Our server Kevin was wonderful. He was attentive and kind. My husband and I frequent the South End for dinner and I must say Frenchie is our new favorite!!!!

    Excellent choice for a B-day dinner. Blake helped us with everything - from the complementary cocktails to the surprise mini cake with lighted candle to finish. In between, the food was cooked to perfection and presented in an appetizing fashion. This is one of the best options for french dining in Boston and it delivered every time we went.

    We live right up the street on Topsfield Road. We did not know you were “open to the public” until last night.”! Saw you on OpenTable and booked immediately. Everything was fantastic: The food —the service — the atmosphere — Paige was our waitress— she was fabulous — she was attentive and quite tuned-in to all of our needs. We will definitely return —cozy warm “club-like” atmosphere —-we loved it!!!!
