With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula. We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices. A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for. Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance. We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent.

A regular in our rota of fine restaurants in Sacramento, Paragary's never disappoints. We split the Caesar Salad: lemony, garlicky, Parmesan, great flavors. Then one of us had linguine with clams and one of us had the tagliatelle with lamb ragu and we were in pasta heaven. Wine list has CA favorites (Navarro, for one) and some international listings. Our server, Wyman, was attentive and professional on a very busy night.

Dinner at The Grange was outstanding. We had the Dine Downtown menu which was superb. Our cocktails were delicious. Service was really great. Our server anticipated what we needed, checked in, the service team made sure our water was refilled, our cutlery was appropriate to each course, and the Manager came by a couple times to check in. We will definitely be back soon!

Celebrated friends 77th birthday at Echo & Rig. Greeted by a very personable hostess who seated upon complete party arrival. Server came over to us and asked if we had previously dined at the restaurant. Some of us had, but most was first time. We ordered drinks, then ordered our meals. Two of us ordered the rib steak caps; only to learn they only had one cap left. It was 6:50 pm and only one left?? Others ordered the salmon, ceasar salad, calamari, and the rib tips. Since there was only one rib cap left, I ordered the bavette steak. The salads were large, the calamari was tasty. The rib tips were tasty, but small portion. Pass on this dish f you and your party are hungry. The steaks are also small portion. The bavvette was tough. Birthday boy to had the last rib steak cap said he’s had better. It was a small cap. For a steak house, you would think the steaks would be great; but they’re not. Service was excellent!! Noisy restaurant, mostly a bar. They did gift a dessert to birthday boy; nice gesture. We wouldn’t be back to this so called steakhouse. Again, server and his aids were excellent .

We went for an early Saturday lunch. Wait staff friendly, helpful, prompt. Since it was not busy the noise level was very low. Portions are large, food very good and prices reasonable.
