- CCarolynDenver / Colorado •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoLe Monde, a long-time resident of Morningside Heights, was full of festivity and rich, French food on Christmas. The pinot noir was top-notch. My guy had escargot, followed by a duck main course, and I had the salmon over spinach with a sauce I can't remember before we shared a chocolate mousse. We're glad we went early, because a lot of time for digestion was required. Our only criticism was that the guitar-player who sang wonderful tunes, mostly in French, was amplified, and we could barely hear each other. Minus the amplification, this would have been a plus, and I'm sure it was only for the holiday. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and we'd do it again.More infoLe MondePrice: Expensive• French• Upper West Side•4.6
