Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall.     Betty’s was as always a beautiful place for a treat of afternoon tea, the atmosphere is amazing, food was delicious, great value for money. We visited at 2pm we were not rushed to leave the table so had plenty of time to enjoy ourselves, and to top it all it left us feeling full for the rest of the day. Overall a thoroughly wonderful experience

    An outstanding addition to Ancoats. The moment we walked in we knew we would love it. We felt very welcomed when we arrived and the staff were friendly and attentive. From the menu to the design of the restaurant you can tell that it’s been well thought out and it shows. We chose five plates to share between us, each one beautiful but I think the octopus was the star of the show for me. The quality of the food is excellent. Love the subtle nod to the Italian history in Ancoats too. We can’t wait for our next visit, thank you Bruco!

    This was our first visit, we went with some friends and had brunch and we weren't disappointed; the staff were brilliant, the food was cooked fresh, well presented and was very tasty. We have been telling friends about this great cafe and will defiantly go back, possibly next time for coffee and cake and again to try an evening meal.
