Best Casual Restaurants in Central Austin

First time going and I’ve been dying to go. Food was incredible, delicious, and so flavorful. Service was absolutely amazing. I woke up thinking about the meatloaf cupcakes and I cannot wait to go back. Exceeded every expectation.

We have been to Sammie’s several times with friends and EVERYTIME, our experience is excellent. We take friends whenever in town for them to enjoy as well. Food is just superb and we love the vibe as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Only complaint is it’s a tad pricy!

Server was proactive, attentive without being overly so, and the view was very enjoyable. Got slightly loud when the doors to the exterior came down, but nothing unusual for a Saturday night. Busy without being too crowded. Staff was pleasant from start to finish.

My wife & I enjoyed Saturday brunch here. We absolutely want to come back during evening service. Homey Moon has a great looking patio, and the first stop once inside a super cool bar that looks like a speakeasy and a western saloon had a love child. I would have loved to have a few drinks and test the bartenders, but, well, brunch is a little early… The menu, like the restaurant itself, is eclectic; but unfamiliar; a really nice change from the same ‘ol same ‘ol. The service was on point, with everything arriving on time and at temperature. The room is a bit noisy, so a meal here is more fun and vibrant vs. quiet & romantic.

I like this place and staff was great too, but my steak and frites came out both cold, barely warm. It was still tasty though but not what I expected for the cost. I really didn’t have time to send it back just pushed through cold meat and frites lol
