Best Casual Restaurants in Hyde Park

I was greeted by CJ at the door with a very warm welcome. Smiling and happy. This tells me that I will have an amazing experience even before I was seated. My waitress, Bennie, was attentive from beginning to end. Very friendly service throughout. Food was hot and amazing. My daughter ordered Anatra and I ordered the Braicola di Maiale. Both were delicious. The duck was tender and the pork chop was cooked just right. Portions were more than enough, and we had to take some home. Highly recommended, if you haven’t been to Il Massimo (Dedham) before. You might get lucky and CJ will greet you warmly upon arrival and will occasionally stop by to see how you are doing. Absolutely fantastic dinner service. Thank you CJ and the amazing hospitality

We went for lunch and the food was very good, the waiter was great and the new interior design works well.

This was a great experience from first minute to last - great hospitality around excellent food! We were early, seated quickly and with preferences accounted for. We had scoped six dishes in advance and opted out of one when a waygu Big Mac was offered - a most try! Server knew the menu, understood her role to guide discovery and make sure we had a great meal - 10/10 recommend! Had scallops which were amazing, different than other preparations, and truly stood out. Brussels were his favorite, and were flavorful with a maple item underneath that made it work! Risotto, alcapurrias, and mussels with lobster (only ok) rounded it out with donut dessert. Really really solid and different. Chef Chris came by to say hello - you should too, truly worthy of reputation and ranking!

So cute inside! Great date spot but I wonder if you could also rent out half for an event-it's small and intimate. Love the idea of moderately priced "snacks", many of which were vegetarian. Not the absolute best cocktails, but maybe they're known for something else. We will definitely be back!

We dine here often and with good reason. The consistency for all the categories you ask about on the survey are always over the top. The staff, the venue, the FOOD and the prices are all great. This owner has other restaurants in the area and it is the same experience at any of them when we visit. So if you’re local - stay local and try this gem. And if you’re not local - it is worth a trip!
