Best Casual Restaurants in Lakeview/Gentilly

Wonderful food and experience. My wife is Italian from New York City. She told Mary, one of the owners, that this was the best Italian food she has had outside New York and Italy. The service was expedient, the food was hot, the Lavazza coffee was delicious and the perfect complement to the cannoli. Ristorante Filippo went to the top of our list of Italian restaurants in Southeast Louisiana.

Our steaks and lobster were to die for. The sides, spinach and loaded baked potato were melt-in-your-mouth delicious. My valentine expresso martini was delicious! Above all this was our attentive and kind waiter Matthew. Wonderful evening!

Went there with my girlfriend for valentine’s day, she enjoyed her mashed potatoes and north atlantic lobster tail while I enjoyed my valentines day special which came with Scallops over beefroot risotto, then a main filet mignon with a north atlantic lobster tail, the desert was a cherry tart kind of pie with whipped cream, strawberries, and dried strawberries on top, all tasted very good and our waitress was attentive while also managing all her other duties so we tipped her well.

Brought my husband to Fury's for Valentine's Day. It was his first visit, my third, and it was wonderful. A real neighborhood gem and Byron was a fabulous server.

The happy hour is great. The pizza is delicious and there are even happy hour drinks and appetizers.
