Best Casual Restaurants in Lexington

Very good food and service! Noise level was a little high for me. Tables are a little close!

Did a mix of 5 small plates and had a great time. Had our 3 teenage daughters with us and we seemed slightly out of place (not may other families) but we were welcomed and had a great time overall.

Tonight was our first time dining at the Andover location and I must say, I like it much more than the downtown location. First, the noise level is much better at Andover. We could easily hear each other and carry on a conversation. Secondly, I think the ambience is better. Very much a speak easy vibe. Our waitress was excellent and the food was great. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the bacon cheeseburger was excellent and the mashed potatoes and mac and cheese were highlights. Skip the teriyaki sesame green beans (undercooked and over sauced), but the truffle fries were yummy! Even the bathrooms were cute (love the Golden Girls and Rat Pack themes.) The only odd thing I noticed was that the floor throughout the restaurant was super slick. I think it’s whatever they are mopping with because the floor was slick throughout. All in all, I’d definitely go back again!

Whether it's a casual weeknight dinner or a special occasion, they never disappoint. It's refreshing to find a restaurant that maintains such high standards across the board – food quality, service, atmosphere, and value. This place has rightfully earned its spot as our favorite local restaurant.

Absolutely great… Blue Heron was one of our favorite restaurants when we lived in Central KY. We have moved away but while visiting family for the holidays, we wanted a great meal. We knew Blue Heron wouldn’t disappoint and we were right.. David, our waiter was excellent… 100% would recommend
