- CChristinaLos Angeles •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoAlways a favorite to come to Bestia, their food is stellar and they just do it right! Arriving right before restaurant opens is always a fave of mine, caught the tail end of their service staff pre shift and it totally warmed my heart. It really does make a difference when employees seem like they like where they work. I heard and felt energy, excitement and fun from each person I encountered.More infoBestiaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7
- CClaudiaLos Angeles •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat views, delicious food, ample portions, and reasonably priced. Not going to lie… My favorite part is the hula pie. Love the macadamia nuts with a huge slab of high-quality vanilla ice cream sitting on a chocolate cookie crunch, but it is that hot fudge that puts it over the edge. OMG. The absolute best. - WWendyNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024Rately do I post a glowing review of restaurants, but @nikuxla will be getting one. From host, server (thank you, Wilson), to details: A+ King crab 🦀 legs were so fresh, that when you pulled the shell from on end, the crab meat slides off the shell of the other. We were most impressed by the Wagyu Udon, which had the exact Al Dente texture and taste, with the coated level of wagyu meat sauce around the veggies, noodles, and overall. Serving was correct for 2 people per order. Would have loved to have tried the fresh scallops (which were not available upon our visit). But the lobsters were adequate to adjust our attention, along with the King crab and Snow crab legs. Sashimi was constantly being topped off, and the ponzu and soy were good quality. The toro and hamachi were good quality cuts, and not veiny. Wagyu Japan and American options were a variety of 5 different choices. We were impressed with the quality. We also tried the Chilean sea bass (not hugely impressed), the Miso Corn (very good), Wagyu Black Pepper Don (average), but our Lamb Lollipop Katsu was our chef cooked favorite. Wilson was excellent. He provided us with a special cheesecake that was not available to the public, and we will definitely return for this reason. Thank you. Overall for the $99 price tag, we would consider returning. Our experience was the day before Xmas. I specifically requested a table with a grill, and was provided exactly the table. Would not ask for more. We will return. Thank you again.More infoNIKU XPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.4
- MMarkGreater Boston •4 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024Being in from Boston for a quick holiday trip, we were pleased this place was open on a Monday for lunch. Valet parking, quick & polite for under $10. Hostess quickly seated our party of 3 in a covered, sunken garden terrace type dining room . Comfy seating but the youngish crowd was pretty noisy. We are older but I didn’t feel over dressed in my black blazer. The room and the attractive crowd would have been a good setting for a Jeff Lewis or Housewives episode. I got an Amalfi Blue ($16) good, tasting, fizzy lunch cocktail that didn’t leave me pulverized. Casa Lena Burger($18) was delicious. My wife got the Ahi Tuna Sandwich ($24) Looked like big portions, and our guest had the Steak sandwich, also big & she brought half home in the restaurant’s distinctive take out bag. Panettone (it’s Christmas time) and Passion fruit sorbet. Perfectly prepared . The attentive service people were professional and striking looking.More infoCasalénaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Woodland Hills•4.6
