Best Casual Restaurants in Mid-Wilshire

I really enjoyed my experience at Somerville. Because this is a new restaurant, I had to make a reservation a month in advance and it seems like that is still the case today. They may take walk-in reservations though. The food was extremely good. I ended up getting the sea bass, brussel sprouts, dark chocolate gelato and the mac and cheese (which could be baked a lil longer to make it better). It is not that loud in the restaurant especially since there is a live band performing too. I look forward to making another reservation in the future.

We were thoroughly impressed. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual evening out or a special occasion. Overall, I highly recommand Casa Madera to anyone looking for high-quality food and excellent service. I will definitely be coming back!

Excellent but too expensive. There are other great steaks available in town for half as much per person. Bread shouldn’t be $18 for 1/4 loaf of sourdough.

quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in LA. It’s expensive but worth every penny, especially as the restaurant is pretty generous with the portions. The Pane with pistachios and ricotta is amazing along with the the broccolini caesar salad. The uni pasta is simple and elegant, and one of the best i’ve had, especially topped with grade A uni. Don’t skip dessert and take any digestifif offered. $350 for 2 people. Not cheap, but well worth it and unique amongst the many high end choices in Los Angeles

The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. There are so many "fancy" restaurants in Los Angeles where the food is disappointing, but this was not one of them. Having known about Republique for many years and seeing it on many "best" lists I was prepared to be disappointed, but it met my expectations. My parents and I were very pleased with our meal, the service, and the ambience which is beautiful. It qualifies as one of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Los Angeles, and is deserving of its designation as one of LA's top restaurants.
