Best Casual Restaurants in Allentown

Great place to eat with that kind of ambiance - you eat, you don’t dine. Staff was friendly and service was efficient. One criticism: I’ve been to the Flying Pig many times and know that it gets crowded and loud so I made reservations for 4 in advance on Open Table. I requested a booth knowing there are only two available. Reservations were for 3:30 and when my party arrived neither booth was available; in fact, there were only two other parties in the whole restaurant and they were both seated at the booths, one of which should have been reserved. Makes you wonder how effective their reservation system may or may not be. All-in-all though a great place for casual dining with good food.

Great band and fun atmosphere with lots of dancing!! Our main courses were really good. The calamari was pretty awful though, tasted like deep fried salt with no fish inside. It was also absolutely freezing in the restaurant. Had to wear our coats through dinner. Service was very good and friendly. Would definitely go back for the right entertainment and selective ordering on a warmer night haha.

Great concept with high energy. Food was delicious and loved the beer taps. A hiccup or two in getting seated with menus but we could see they were extremely busy and the staff were coping as best they could. We’ll definitely go back.

We ate in the the board area. TVs around which we enjoy. 5 of ate. All enjoyed meals and drinks. Service is superior. Food is very good.

This is my second time coming for a Birthday dinner, the food and the ambience are always amazing. The staff is kind and accommodating. The restaurant is beautiful and the portions are wonderful!
