Best Casual Restaurants in Northeast Portland

I love the servers here. They absolutely love to make you feel welcomed and happy. Came here for a date night, even though they were a little delayed/held back for our reservation, the wait wasn’t extremely long. And they made sure to make it up to us by providing free appetizer and dessert. 5/5 would recommend for a nice date night.

We had a wonderful dining experience. From the moment we walked in we could tell the experience would be great. We were quickly provided with a server who provided us with sparkling water and went through the special for this special Sunday meal. We started with bread and whipped butter, the bread was the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. Our entrees came and did not disappoint. My companion loved her pork stuffed cannelonis and my salad was great. We followed up with Affogato Al caffee and a baked pear crumble. Overall we highly recommend Nostrana.

I had heard good things about Shalom y’all and it exceeded my expectations! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! From the hummus to the cabbage skewers to the sweet potatoes, etc. It was all Michelin star worthy. I can’t wait to go back! 

Had a lovely prix fixe Valentines meal. Food was excellent, and we had a wonderful evening.

I always leave Kachka feeling like my trip was worth it! Last night was no exception. The flavors are always exciting and unique, but there is still an overarching theme of the food being very comforting. I also cannot compliment their vodka selection enough. We got a vodka flight, and every shot was delicious and surprising. The staff were very friendly and attentive, adding to the charm. PS: If you can go during happy hour, I recommend their little combo plate w/ the cabbage roll and borscht! See my photo.
