Ristorante A CA MIA is open every April and closes at the end of Fall. We are located across from the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on the Washington Street Mall. We are available for Private Parties, Rehearsal Dinners, and Christmas Parties. The historical building that now houses Ristorante A CA MIA was built in 1872. William Essen operated a bakery and ice cream parlor until 1914 when he sold it to his niece and her husband, Carl and Margaret Kokes. The business remained in his family for over 60 Years. The bakery is one of the oldest bakeries in continuous operation in the country. By the mid 1930s, the ice cream parlor had become the dining room and the business was operated as a restaurant as it is to this day. Our kitchen is under the direction of Chef Todor Videv. Our appetizer was a special and was delicious. We ordered the lamb and the duck. Both were good but smaller portions than we have had other places The sauce on the duck was one of the best we have had. . Our server was ok, not very attentive he never came over to table other than to take our order, and ask if we wanted dessert. We noticed he went over to other tables around us asking if everything was to their liking. The ambiance was exceptional very lovely. It was a bit cold that evening and there was a definite draft sitting next to the tent wall. It was our first time there and we will definitely give it another try and maybe try something else on the menu. We would give the whole experience a 4 out of 5 stars.

Easily my favorite restaurant! Our meal was exceptional. From the beginning of the meal we knew we were going to enjoy our night. Service was top notch (as it always is) and the food is expertly prepared. At Cafe Loren the food is consistently delicious. The portions are generous enough to feel satisfied. But not so big that you cannot try something from each course. And there is always room for dessert. We try to have dinner at Cafe Loren whenever our schedules allow. PERFECTION!!
