Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Bloomfield

We had a wonderful lunch at the Publick House. Gregg, our server, was awesome. Very personable, funny and had great suggestions. We had the baked Scrod and the Scallops. We told Gregg to pick our dessert because we couldn't decide, The Lemon Cake was great. You needed a reservation, and they do not seat you till noon. We ate in the Tavern, we couldn't hear anyone around us, it was great. I love how the tables were not on top of each other. This was our first visit here but it will not be our last.

Great experience, service was slow but seemed to be just our server. The food made up for it

The food is absolutely delicious, creatively done, and impressively plated. There are many options from which to choose, including seafood and vegetarian options. A small, cozy , casual restaurant, Pond. House Cafe is a winner each and every time. I do not seem to be able to send kudos…so here they are: The mushroom and polenta is fit for a king or queen. All wait staff amazing…Tiffany and Stephanie in particular They make the trip worthwhile. Hats off to the kitchen staff…food comes out hot, together, and beautifully plated.

The red lion inn has a main restaurant, and a bar that serves a pub menu. You can sit at the main tables and choose between both menus.( Just ask your server for both menus) Also, they have kids menus that are really affordable and have pretty much anything kids would eat on them. My 12 y..o is a picky eater and had no problem with breakafast lunch and dinner at red lion inn

The food was amazing. The waiter was very nice and kept checking on us. Just looking around you can see everyone enjoying themselves and all the servers doing there job to make everyone have an amazing time. I shared a memorial moment and the whole staff knew about it and i thank them all. I highly recommend it. Even another costumer said it is the best restaurant hidden in Ct.
