Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Thornbury

It’s a destination and a staple for me to visit since the 70’s. Service is excellent the food is at par with the uniqueness of the restaurant. Schnitzel is delicious and a huge beer selection. Bar is fun to eat at when the dining room is busy.

We had a lovely Birthday lunch today. The butternut squash soup was divine followed by delicious scallops and then a lovely pasta dish. The service was exceptional. We even got a tour of the other areas of the restaurant including the wine cellar where private functions can be booked. We will definitely be coming back!

Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and plentiful especially the cast iron brisket hash and eggs benedict. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a great breakfast that comes with great service and all for a very reasonable price too.

Our server (younger with glasses) was personable, professional and provided excellent service! Everything met our expectations.

Our family Christmas dinner was execellent. Family members choose the turkey and prime rib Christmas specials which included an appetizer and a dessert. All of the dishes were very tasty. The prime rib was extremely tender and flavourful. Our server Alex was very friendly and very efficient.throughout the entire meal......a special thank you to him. The restaurant is located in the Living Water Resort Collingwood so we had easy access. Very nicely decorated. Would highly recommend.
