Best Comfort Food Restaurants in West Windsor

Food and service were great. Was so noisy that we could not hear each other talk at the table. Spent lunch saying”what?” And “huh?” And leaning into the middle of the table to talk to one another. Really took away from the experience for sure.

The standout was the good. My husband’s lamb lollipops were excellent. I had the crab corn chowder and that was delicious as well. He loved his salmon oscar and I thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp stuffed with crabmeat. Service, ambience and noise level were all great. This is a great pre-theatre restaurant.

Lovely, cozy, special place. Food was excellent, from artichoke hearts and Caesar salad to the chicken Marsala and rigatoni. Carrot cake was heavenly. Service staff was attentive and kind without being overwhelming. Will definitely be back — and often!

The food was delicious. We ordered wings, clams, sliders, and a burger. 0 complaints on the food! The environment wasn't exactly what I expected, but that's my fault. I could've done more research. It was pretty loud and it took us 35 minutes to find parking (That is not an exaggeration) . I really only have 2 huge complaints. 1. Our server was awful. She paid no attention to her tables. Her phone got more attention. But at the end of the day, it's her tips that will suffer...or so we thought. Turns out 20% gratuity is added to the bill. We paid our bill and we decided to use the restroom before our walk back to the car. This is where my second complaint starts. 2. We used the bathroom on the main floor. It was a single person restroom with one sink. The sink didn't work! I was told there were 2 bathrooms downstairs, but never checked those. Luckily I had wipes in my purse. I'm not sure why they had the sign up saying "employees must wash hands before returning to work" because they clearly can't in the main floor bathroom. I was pretty shocked.

We haven't gone out on Valentine's Day​ in many years. We had a 5:30 pm reservation and when we pulled up, the parking lot was pretty crowded. We got sat promptly and our server came over right away. Even though it was crowded, we didn't feel neglected or rushed. We started with Caesar salad which was delicious. I ordered stuffed shrimp and hubby got the mix grill. Both were tasty and made well. We skipped dessert as I had made chocolate dipped strawberries. So we had a lovely meal there.
