Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail.     We have dined here in the past and love coming back. This was a well-deserved meal after a week of stress (lay-off) and travel gone wrong. The inside is warm and inviting and staff is always friendly. I love the pineapple seafood entree and my husband raves about the ribeye. My son typically gets fish and ships but this time we splurged and got him the shrimp and lobster scampi, we knew it would be much bigger than he could muster, so we counted on the leftovers to justify the size and price. Will definitely return, hopefully to celebrate a new job!

    We are regulars (usually sit at the bar), last night there was no seats at the bar. We sat in the dining room and Shannon was our server. She has been our server on a couple of occasions and is always great. The food and service was excellent. You can’t beat Toscana Beverly!

    Went for the New Year’s Day Hip Hop DJ Brunch and it did not disappoint! Tried the housemade donuts (cranberry orange & espresso martini), and they lived up to the hype 100%! Seriously, if we weren’t so full, I would have taken a couple of the orange-cranberry ones to go! Then we had chicken & waffles and the pastrami hash. The chicken was incredibly crispy and the hash was delicious- lots of peppers & onions to complement the pastrami. Music was loud (we were right in front of the DJ) with some great selections! Service was excellent as well. We will definitely be back!

    Very good We all had a lovely time . Plenty of tea w honey. I even saved the small honey jars. They were so cute. I will recycle them and use them again. I couldn’t seem to think they would go in the trash. We all ordered from menu. You could get the buffet but choose to order. I had the veggie quiche. Delicious. Everyone one else was happy at our table. Nice relaxing atmosphere. ❤️❤️💜💜Happy New year All

    Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
