The House of William and Merry serves contemporary American cuisine prepared from the freshest seasonal ingredients procured from local farms, providing casual fine dining at a reasonable price. Chef-owned by the husband and wife team, Merry Catanuto and William Hoffman, who live on the property, the restaurant is a remodeled farmhouse on the edge of central Hockessin. Dine in a comfortable home atmosphere in one of the two dining rooms, the porch, or the bar. When you arrive, you can see right into the all new, modern kitchen. My family and I go to Letty’s every week or so. Although the restaurant area has plenty of charafter, we like to sit in the bar area for the atmosphere since there’s usually live music. We have our “go to” meals ..: Steak Frittes, which are the best around (even in fancy reataurents). The Cliftonian pizza is also a favorite! While Letty’s is laid back, the service is awesome.

This was our second time dining here, and it was as outstanding as the first. We shared the raviolo appetizer, which was wonderfully tasty. Both the pork chop and the rockfish were perfectly cooked and well paired with creative sides. We shared a pear dessert - a lovely, creamy caramel mousse topped with sweet pears and candied pecans. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent.
