Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since.     The food here is outstanding! The service in my previous experiences has been VERY good! Tonight ... the service was sub-par! We waited almost an hour for someone to take our order. Not sure if they were short staffed or having a staff meeting or what- but all someone had to do was explain... instead I just heard 3 times, "we all work as a team here" what does that even mean???? I will give it another chance.. but Also they brought a "complementary" desert... I LOVE sweets, but this was terrible!! So glad I didn't pay for it! Guess they can't do sweets well!

    Our reservation was for 2:30 last call for the kitchen was at 3pm. I was not aware that the kitchen was closing so early. The waitress was very nice but to get our stuff out was very slow and our food was cold. Not sure if it was because the time we got there or not. Over all the place was cute and the drinks were festive.

    The experience was nice - we were seated first at the broken table, which hostess was aware of so she moved us. I think the table should be fixed before you seat your guests there - not appropriate. Very long wait for food - when it arrived was cold pizza and pasta, probably was out for a while. The birthday desert was on the house which is very nice
