Best Cozy Restaurants in Milton

I’m not sure if he was the manager or not, but the guy who greeted us at the door provided some of the best customer service we have ever experienced. Our reservation was delayed due to a party staying longer than expected, so the first round of drinks was on the house. Throughout the night, we saw this guy greeting guests, making drinks, and helping out anyway he could. Left a great impression, and we will definitely be back.

As first-time diners at Rena’s, we were thrilled with every aspect of our experience. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated (thanks to our reservation). Our server, Brian, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He guided us to some incredible dishes and even let us sample a few wines, which led us to selections we’d never have tried otherwise. The manager, Drew, made us feel especially welcome, checking in several times throughout the evening to ensure everything was perfect. The food was outstanding. The butternut squash soup was the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and comforting. The stuffed mushroom caps brought back nostalgic memories of my mother’s cooking. For our entrées, the seasonal pork chop with risotto was hearty and perfectly suited for a chilly night, while the shrimp and scallops over pasta were equally fantastic. A special shoutout to the bread service—it’s not to be missed! We were so full that we took half of our meal home, saving room for dessert. The cheesecake was delightful, and the espresso martinis were the perfect finishing touch. From start to finish, the service and food were top-notch. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and can’t wait to return often.

Branch and Barrel is always my go to for a casual cozy comfort meal. The Branch Berry cocktail never disappoints (but ours was missing the muddled strawberries, and I’ve had it served with a string of something before so the presentation was lacking) The food was yummy and our waitress was great. My BIG complaint is the massive waves of cold air when the doors open, which was often. It was brutal. In New England they either have a vestibule or a U shaped rod just as you walk in, hung with velvet curtains, to block the wind gusts. The doors are so centered and open to the entire space it was freezing. Still love this place though. I wish there were vegetarian options on the menu (and an Impossible burger swap option on your fantastic burgers) a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich and more hearty soups.

This was our first time to Milton’s and it was excellent! The deviled eggs & pimento cheese appetizers were fantastic! And don’t let me forget the HOT fresh rosemary bread. DROOL! After we ate all of that, we barely had room for dinner, but we ordered the cauliflower steak and meatloaf. All were excellent. Don’t forget to get a dirty martini or two with blue cheese stuffed olives!!!

We love this restaurant! This was a party for 6 for birthday dinner The people are so friendly but the service was a little slow this time, out of character for them in general
