- DDeeAnnVIPSan Diego •30 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis place is a very special dining experience. Nowhere can you find a spot with live jazz and mellow music in the middle of the dining room. This type of thing seems like a bygone era but not at the Scull. Stepping inside is like entering an alternate universe with old brick walls, creaking wood floors and upscale dining in an environment that is unique and beyond explanation. The menu offers many options, and pricing is high, but you are paying for an experience and atmosphere that is priceless. We made a reservation and visited the week before Christmas so the musical entertainers played a variety of holiday songs along with old world favorites from the likes of Frand Sinatra to Johnny Cash. I can't say enough good things about this place other than to say you must go and see for yourself.More infoSkull's Rainbow RoomPrice: Expensive• French / American• Downtown•4.8
- AAnnNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThe food was delicious. Lobster roll was market value, $36 that day for a hot dog sized roll with a side of chips. It was very good though. The Southampton Pizza was very flavorful, as was the New England clam chowder. Best chowder next to what we’ve had in Boston. It’s a little loud in the restaurant. But not obnoxious. The majority of the Christmas decorations (if you’re coming to see those because you saw it on social media) are on the rooftop level. The rest of the restaurant is regular ambiance. Very friendly service. I would go back.More infoThe Hampton Social - NashvillePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.7
- JJohnKey West / Florida Keys •5 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 15, 2024Greeted at the door by the chef, my wife and I were whisked away (cooking pun there…) to the back room of the restaurant. There we were seated and greeted by an attractive server and had our special menu explained to us. We had the choice of escargots, a brief interlude of boeuf bourguignon, and I had the steak frites while my wife enjoyed the confit of duck. We were finished off with a traditional cheese plate with a variety of cheeses from around Europe. All the food items were fabulous and the wine pairings were perfect! I will complain that the portions were oversized for me. We were nearly full from the escargots, and the boeuf was a full dinner portion in itself. The ribeye steak was as the chef explains it “what Americans expect”. I can’t fault him for giving his customers what they want, although I personally would prefer a more authentic experience with a smaller skirt or flank steak and about half the amount of fries. To summarize: go there. Eat. You will not regret a thing!More infoOnce Upon a Time in FrancePrice: Expensive• French• East Nashville•4.7
