We were worried about it being Valentine’s Day so we made an early reservation & we were able to be fed & get out before the rush. Our server did well but she was a bit shy& meek. Combined with the sitting right under a music speaker, we could barely hear her. We chose to share 2 “salads” & 3 tapas. The Brussels sprouts & the squash blossoms were perfectly seasoned, well constructed, & delicious. The hanger steak was amazing. The potatoes it came served over were blah. They did not have a good texture nor were they seasoned how we would typically like them. I feel like they missed the mark with this accompaniment, especially since the hanger steak was so good. The lamb lollipops were cooked to a perfect medium & the mint jelly/pepper jelly sauce was outstanding. The duck confit eggrolls were crispy & full, but flavorless. We would not order these again. I shouldn’t need a side sauce to enjoy them. We will be back to try some other items!More infoSouth BayPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• New Haven•4.7
- PPeterLondon •5 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat ambiance and amazing service by Alex and "Other Alex". For starters, the shishito peppers and provencals mussels were delicious, nicely prepared. Mussels with frites, the peppers nicely charred with a lime wedge for that umami hit. Drinks were delicious and meticulously crafted by Other Alex. And the main dinners were tasty and well portioned, squid ink seafood pasta and gnocchi. The dessert - Nutella cheesecake - was overly indulgent and I could have gone for a lighter fare. Other Alex sold me on it, she's excellent at her craft. A must visit and adjacent to the Yale University Arts Library and Yale School of Art - super chill street vibes. Lots of free street parking too! I'd visit again, thank you for the great experience.More infoAtelier FlorianPrice: Moderate• Seafood• New Haven•4.4

We arrived at 4:30 for a very early dinner, and the place was peacefully quiet. Our servers were great at taking and delivering our food orders, and attentively kept my husband's water glass filled (no mean feat). The young man who took my wine order seemed unfamiliar with wines in general, and did not make useful recommendations from Pacifico's wine list. He asked multiple times if I wanted to order a second glass; I thought I was clear the first time that one glass was it for me. Highly recommend Pacifico. We'll be back!More infoPacifico - New Haven, CTPrice: Moderate• Latin / Spanish• New Haven•4.6
