Best Cozy Restaurants in Salem

Once again our dining experience at the Hawthorne Tavern was outstanding and we loved the ambiance. The servers were nice and good at their jobs. All four of us at my table enjoyed our meals which were served promptly, even on a night when the Tavern was packed. I'd especially like to call-out Lori for taking such good care of us. My family, friends and I will be back.

My group of 4 had a reservation for a birthday dinner at 7:15. The hostess was very apologetic when they could not seat us right away as a previous table was not leaving. We ended up having to wait for our table for 35 minutes. In the mean time we got a drink at the bar. Everyone from the hostess to the wait staff to the sommelier was very apologetic but we didn't mind. Everyone more than made up for our wait with complementary appetizer and a drink. Our birthday celebration was great and all of the food and drink was phenomenal. The sommelier Scott spent extra time with us when we had questions about the wine and was very kind and informative! We will be returning soon!

Went with 3 friends on a Friday night at 7pm for a birthday dinner. The atmosphere was perfect! Cozy and festive, holiday music playing at an enjoyable decibel. We were treated with a round of limoncello because we were celebrating a birthday. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. It was a busy night but we were never rushed and allowed to take our time. 10/10.

Our server Teddy was top notch. He had a great personality and was very professional. He knew the menu and very thoughtful recognizing my wife’s birthday along with the rest of the staff. We have a very nice table and could not have asked for a better dining experience. Thank you Pellana’s. We will be back!

Our Bartender was excellent! The food was amazing! We got the steak and eggs and the breakfast wrap! Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go back! But the star was the lemon ricotta donuts served warm with homemade jam!!!
