- MMaryVirginia •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoMy family of five enjoyed a casual lunch on Sunday after church. I was surprised to get a reservation last minute and barely waited upon arrival. Our waiter greeted us and was pleasant yet seemed a bit busy and took awhile to take drink orders. Our waiter quickly picked up the pace however and we received great service. The appetizers of crab and mushroom dip was especially delicious, the fried green tomatoes was a winner, the country fried steak which the majority ordered was fantastic and we especially loved the Jalapeño gravy and cornbread which kept its texture beautifully. The Texas size pour on the Old Fashion was exceptional. Overall the ambiance was for me was the icing on the cake. A modern western, farmhouse design with beautifully crafted wood, light filled chandeliers, fabric tapestries hanging, leather seating. The decor was fabulous.More infoHaywire - La CanteraPrice: Expensive• American• La Cantera•4.4

- GGreg or AngieVIPSan Antonio •64 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 13, 2024We love Piatti.. both locations but this evening we chose Eilian. We were able to be seated in the comfortable sofa/upholstered chair section which was very nice. Our server was really pleasant and attentive throughout the meal and allowed us to move at our pace through a moment with some hot tea followed by their butternut squash soup and a mista salad. We enjoyed their amazing bread and oil/basalmic mix (only ate 1/2 to make sure we could bring the rest home). We settled on the roasted salmon for her, getting asparagus instead of the normal side and I had the flatiron steak and truffled potatoes. Everything from the appetizers to the meal was prepared perfectly and served at just the right time. Great meal, great ambiance (we were around 5:30pm on a Friday night so the crowd wasn’t there yet).More infoPiatti Restaurant - San Antonio, EilanPrice: Moderate• Italian• La Cantera•4.5
- MMarioSan Antonio •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024This was a treat for my Dad, it was just the two of us growing up and we always went to a fancy hotel for Thanksgiving Brunch. It has been decades since we have done this and let me tell you there was nothing disappointing about our experience. The food was amazing the staff were very cheerful and genuinely happy to be away from their families serving our meal. My Dad was so excited which doesn’t happen much anymore. Afterwards I was looking at some photos we took and read the menu omg there was so much I didn’t get to try ! Not that I had room for anything more ! Thank you all for such great memoriesMore infoSweetfire Kitchen - La Cantera Resort and SpaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• La Cantera•4.6
