Izakaya Hachi is an authentic Japanese restaurant serving Japanese tapas, Yakitori, fresh oysters, ShabuShabu, traditional Sushi, and a unique variety of Sake.To maintain the social distance guideline, we will check all customer's temperature and ask to sanitize your hands before entering the restaurant. We have a 15 minutes grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 15 minutes after your reservation time. Party of 1 or 2 may go to a bar counter seat when a busy hour. If you prefer a table seat, please tell a representative or leave a comment about it. However, we may not be able to honor all requests. We look forward to serving you!

Qu'est-ce qu'un Bettolino ? En Italie, on retrouve des Ristorante's, des Trattoria's, des Osteria's, des Pizzaria's et bien plus. Il s'agit d'établissements où l'on sert des repas, tous de nature différente les uns des autres. Avant la création de ces établissements, il y avait les Bettolino's. Imaginez-vous en l'an 1600, que vous êtes un voyageur errant de ville en ville, en Italie. Vous arrivez dans un petit village. Dans le village, il y a des maisons, des commerces et un Bettolino. Vous avez faim, donc vous entrez dans ce dernier. L'endroit est animé et rempli de gens, on peut entendre le bourdonnement des conversations et sentir l'odeur des mets fraîchement cuisinés. Le propriétaire s'approche de vous avec une grande coupe remplie de vin et une assiette de nourriture chaude. Les propriétaires s'appliquent à reproduire cette même sensation auprès de leurs clients lorsqu'ils franchissent la porte de leur établissement. Aujourd'hui, les Bettolino's ont disparu en Italie, mais la petite entreprise familiale Bettolino, dans le Riviera Village, perpétue la tradition qui veut que l'on serve de la nourriture et des boissons délicieuses accompagnées d'un service chaleureux.

We work with local sommeliers in our wine selection, many of which are regionally sourced, that complement our appetizers and skewers. Our chefs have trained in “Hinai Jidori”, a prestigious level of yakitori training, dedicating thousands of hours in Japan to perfect their craft. With careful attention to flavors, textures, and colors, the dishes are crafted to provide a thoughtful and immersive dining experience rather than just a quick bite. From tables and chairs crafted in Japan to dishware carefully selected from around the world for each dish, we aim to blend authentic Japanese cuisine with the Redondo Beach aesthetic. We also use traditional Japanese 備長炭 binchotan charcoal instead of electricity or gas to impart unique flavors that only this specialized charcoal can achieve in yakitori.
