- CCandaceHawaii •13 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoCJ was our waiter. He did a great job taking our order and all of our food was accurate. No errors. Yay. It seemed like he was the only waiter taking orders tonight so I was happy to get my correct food order. The food deliverers were all very pleasant and work well with each other. My husband’s birthday dinner was a success. If you plan to eat here, here’s a PRO TIP: order the chocolate soufflé for dessert at the beginning of your order. It takes 45 minutes to make but is 1000% worth the wait.More infoEating House 1849 by Roy Yamaguchi - Waikiki, OahuPrice: Very Expensive• Hawaii Regional Cuisine• Waikiki•4.7
- LLaToyaVIPAtlanta Metro •20 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoThe Hideout offers a cool dining experience with a relaxed and inviting ambiance that perfectly captures the Hawaiian vibe. The atmosphere was definitely a highlight and made for a great start to the day. The food was decent—nothing extraordinary but still enjoyable. The flavors were good, and the dishes were well-prepared, though not particularly memorable. Overall, The Hideout is a nice spot for breakfast with good vibes, making it worth a visit if you’re looking for a chill dining experience in Hawaii.More infoHideoutPrice: Expensive• Pacific Rim• Waikiki•4.6
- DDaveVIPSan Francisco Bay Area •14 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoTaormina is a great Sicilian restaurant in the middle of Waikiki. The place is clean and modern, and the service is welcoming and efficient. At lunch they provide free focaccia with olive oil/balsamic vinegar and a passion fruit sorbet after the meal. The Siciliana pasta was excellent. Great spicy flavor with a unique sweet/spicy beef ragu sauce. It's not a huge portion but it's very good. The chicken alla Griglia was excellent. It's a huge piece of chicken, perfectly roasted and seasoned. It's very tender and flavorful. Really it's better than the pasta IMO. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Hawaii. Make a reservation because you probably won't get in without it.More infoTaormina Sicilian CuisinePrice: Expensive• Italian• Waikiki•4.6
- LLeslieHawaii •12 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe atmosphere was great. The service was impeccable. Since the pandemic, I'd morn the lack of restaurants with this kind of services. The food was great. All the courses were tasty. Every bite is a combination of different complementing and contrasting textures and taste. The only thing I can pick on were the meat courses. We ordered the A5 wagyu and the lamb. While the wagyu has the right mouth feel to me, the pieces we got had several connective tissues and it was a little to rare for me (it was rare). The lamb was a little tough. I was expecting a medallion from the rack of lamb, but it didn't seem the case. The fishes were outstanding, however. The aji was incredible. It was flaky and cooked to perfection, with a char on the skin. When the cheese course came, the waiter said in France, they normally serve cheese before the desserts. It's true, but they usually have a cheese cart and serve cheese with cracker or bread. But it was a tasty course nonetheless. The was a surprise panna cotta palette cleanser / pre-dessert. It was light and perfect before the dessert. The staff did not ask or offer coffee or tea, and I didn't think of ordering one then, but it would have perfectly complement the chocolate and end a perfect night.More infoMugenPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French• Waikiki•4.9
- OTOpenTable DinerPhoenix / Arizona •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoMy wife and I are locals and have eaten at pretty much every notable restaurant on Oahu as well as the other islands. We have been meaning to try Aloha Steak House as it looked to have an awesome vibe. We are so glad we did. The food is on point with any high end steak house. In fact, it’s better. It’s not a pretentious place, the service is amazing. Loreal took great care of us with recommendations and made our night memorable. My filet was medium rare plus with a char and was perfect. My wife’s twin lobster tails were scrumptious. You have to order the arugula burrata salad, the Brussels and bacon and French fries. Top it off with Watermelon ice cream. Incredible! Did I mention the drinks? The Mai Tai should be on the list of Honolulu’s Best. This is our new date night spot for sure.More infoAloha SteakhousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Waikiki•4.5
