Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. One of my favorite Arabic restaurants in Toronto. Please train your waiters to be mindful when approaching table to ask questions or make comments or tell us anything. Our waitress literally every single time came and interrupted us mid-sentence. If it was a casual restaurant with casual prices that’s fine but you are an upmarket restaurant and waiters should not behave like their schedule or their efficiency and speed should come at the expense of customers’ experience and socializing

This happening stylish bistro is worth visiting. Ambience is cozy and food and service were top notch. Nice variety of small and main plates to share and enjoy. Wedge salad is a must to try and the complimentary cheddar brioche was a nice (& delicious) start to our meal.
