Best Date Night Restaurants in Oakville

We were there for my son’s birthday - party of three. They gave us a half booth/table, in the corner, just enough privacy but with nice energy around us. Service was timed perfectly, risotto, roast chicken and salmon were all superb, as was the minestrone soup and Marguerita pizza starters. House wine was perfectly nice and pistachio home made ice cream was outstanding. Finally our server Onofrio - who has worked there over 25 years - is simply fantastic!’ - a real asset to the restaurant, with the energy and outgoing nature of a 25 year old, but with lots of life experience to share. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable is evening.

Ate here last year for a my husband's birthday and we could not say enough about the experience. Food was lovely, service was excellent. We broke the bank on this meal but we knew what it would cost before arriving. We also had two full bottles of wine, so that pushes up the price. All in all, this was an excellent experience - the first time. Went last week with friends - our friend's first time - and it was rather disappointing after our initial experience. I had a pasta dish that was almost too salty to eat, but did not say anything because the friends we were with don't like if you complain or send something back so I just got through it. The onion rings were under seasoned and had no flavour, and the last time they were one of the stars of the show! There was an order of fries for the table and we had to brush the salt off each individual fry. They were over salty. I suggested sending back and our friends just kind of stiffened and said not to worry, we can just brush the salt off. The service was attentive, but too attentive. We often felt rushed to the point I was about to ask for them to back off. Overall, this was a disappointing second visit after a superb first visit.
