- SShanaLos Angeles •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoLe Grand in Pasadena provided an unforgettable dining experience on Christmas Eve. From the cozy atmosphere to the festive holiday spirit, everything was perfectly curated for a special night out. We started with the buffalo chicken wings, which were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat and tangy flavor an absolute crowd-pleaser. The espresso pork ribs stole the show with their tender texture and a unique smoky-sweet glaze that was incredibly addictive. The Elote was a delightful twist on a classic, with charred corn, creamy toppings, and just a hint of spice that made it irresistible. The pesto ravioli was rich, flavorful, and beautifully presented—an indulgent treat that rounded out the meal perfectly. The drinks were just as impressive. The hibiscus margaritas were vibrant, refreshing, and expertly balanced a wonderful festive cocktail that paired seamlessly with the bold flavors of the food. The service was exceptional, with the staff attentive and eager to make the evening memorable. Le Grand truly knows how to combine incredible food, drinks, and ambiance into a one-of-a-kind experience. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an incredible meal, Le Grand is a must-visit. Their tapas and drinks made our Christmas Eve extraordinary, and we can’t wait to return!More infoLe Grand PasadenaPrice: Moderate• American• Pasadena•4.1
- WWendyNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoRately do I post a glowing review of restaurants, but @nikuxla will be getting one. From host, server (thank you, Wilson), to details: A+ King crab 🦀 legs were so fresh, that when you pulled the shell from on end, the crab meat slides off the shell of the other. We were most impressed by the Wagyu Udon, which had the exact Al Dente texture and taste, with the coated level of wagyu meat sauce around the veggies, noodles, and overall. Serving was correct for 2 people per order. Would have loved to have tried the fresh scallops (which were not available upon our visit). But the lobsters were adequate to adjust our attention, along with the King crab and Snow crab legs. Sashimi was constantly being topped off, and the ponzu and soy were good quality. The toro and hamachi were good quality cuts, and not veiny. Wagyu Japan and American options were a variety of 5 different choices. We were impressed with the quality. We also tried the Chilean sea bass (not hugely impressed), the Miso Corn (very good), Wagyu Black Pepper Don (average), but our Lamb Lollipop Katsu was our chef cooked favorite. Wilson was excellent. He provided us with a special cheesecake that was not available to the public, and we will definitely return for this reason. Thank you. Overall for the $99 price tag, we would consider returning. Our experience was the day before Xmas. I specifically requested a table with a grill, and was provided exactly the table. Would not ask for more. We will return. Thank you again.More infoNIKU XPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown•4.4

- HHectorLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 28, 2024If you're craving authentic Japanese food, Shin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya in Alhambra is a must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with an authentic vibe that transports you straight to Japan. I started with their famous Japanese meat skewers—absolutely delicious! The yakitori was perfectly grilled, with just the right amount of char and tenderness. The flavors were spot-on, and each skewer was a delightful burst of savory goodness. Next, I had the ramen. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a great depth that comes from hours of careful preparation. The noodles were perfectly cooked, and the toppings (from soft-boiled eggs to tender slices of pork) really elevated the dish. It's easily one of the best ramen bowls I've had. To round out the meal, I enjoyed a glass of cold sake. It was smooth and refreshing, a perfect complement to the meal. Overall, everything was great. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly without sacrificing quality. Whether you're a fan of yakitori or ramen, this place does it right. I’ll definitely be back for more!More infoShin-Sen-Gumi Yakitori & Men-Ya - AlhambraPrice: Expensive• Japanese• Alhambra•4.6
- KKathyLos Angeles •20 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 2, 2024It was a busy Saturday evening and I was so glad I made a reservation through Open Table. We only had to wait about 5 minutes. The food was great and was served in a timely matter after we ordered. Our server was also very nice and efficient. He came y the table often to inquire if everything was ok. We had a great experience.More infoBJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - MontebelloPrice: Moderate• American• Montebello•4
