Best Date Night Restaurants in Uptown

We arrived early for a Saturday night reservation. We sat in the bar. The bartender was attentive. The drinks were great! We ordered a wide variety of tapas. Some things were very good, some were ok. Enjoyed our visit to this lively restaurant!

Daisies was phenomenal all around for us. The service, ambience, food were all on top notch. We had the rigatoni, stracci, the potted carrots, and the onion dip. It was honestly some of the best pastas we’ve ever had! The appetizers were also excellent. We will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!! This is the place where we bring our out of town friends/family because it is so fantastic! The owners have put so much thought into every detail it's amazing. The food, however, is meh. It is typical bar food but the fries are sub par. They are soft and floppy, barely cooked and served medium warm. In the fire I would request extra crispy fries to ensure that they are cooked properly. Still, the fries did not impact the great time we have every year:)

What an incredible meal!!!!! The seafood was fresh, the steaks perfectly prepared, the wine exquisite and the desserts devine!!!!!!! The candlelight setting was the perfect ambiance even if a bit dark, but the absolute star of the dinner was the tremendous service provided by MASON! The best waiter in Chicago. (Maple & Ash this "Employee Benefits" charge coincidentally is exactly the same as the credit card fee!!!! Ask me before you add $25 to my check!!!!! When I drop almost a $1,000.00 for dinner without cocktails I don't expect a surprise on my bill!!!!! Disclosure and ASK. 30% Tip covers the wait staff, and at your prices there is money to provide the rest of the staff--including the kitchen--with "employee benefits.")
