True Chesapeake is a Baltimore restaurant born of an oyster farm. Executive Chef Zack Mills creates a seasonal menu that showcases oysters from our farm in St. Jerome’s Creek, Southern Maryland — raw, roasted, and in signature dishes like Classic Rockefeller and French Onion Oysters. But, the oysters are just the beginning. Our award winning menu celebrates the bounty of the Chesapeake region by using locally sourced seafood, meat, and produce to create exquisite dishes that evolve with the seasons. Chef Mills has been featured extensively for his use of invasive seafood species, a very delicious way to help the Chesapeake Bay. Don't forget to order the Blue Crab and Bone Marrow dip or handmade pasta. We have an expertly curated wine list, beer selection, and cocktails - both classic and creative. The White Oak Tavern is a family-owned business, operated by a brother & sister that are Ellicott City locals. The menu includes seasonal scratch made items, sustainable meats & produce from local farms and purveyors. The White Oak Burger is a community favorite and has been recognized as the best burger in Howard County for several years. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with a special dog menu. The bar has 42 rotating craft beers with a wide selection of styles with a free-to-join mug club. This includes a specialty cocktail menu with different seasonal ingredients along with a fresh mocktail menu.     I was there for an early lunch and loved that they served breakfast until 2 o’clock! I had the French toast, which was very good and the bacon, which was amazing! I would definitely go back again!

    We always enjoy dining at Chef Geoff and were especially interested in trying the Monday Mussels menu. We were seated promptly and placed our orders. The server brought my husband's order promptly but my entree was not correct. Our waiter apologized for the error and indicated that it would be corrected. However, a 15 minute wait was required -- not quite what we had expected. I'll chalk this up to a busy night but hope that the serve improves on our next visit. The mussels, by the way, were fantastic.
