The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. Lovely birthday lunch with my brother. We went for the light lunch menu for a change but even the club sandwiches defeated us! Surprise birthday dessert was gifted which was a lovely touch. Service not as good today as usual but they were busy. Christmas decorations look lovely. Still our favourite place locally as loyal customers.

A nicely revamped pub/restaurant, higher end prices for food which was not very good. Of the four meals ordered one as great (steak & kidney suet pudding) The others poor, Hake was over crumbed and dry, casserole was dry with dumplings like bullets. The deserts were the saving grace in a meal which was overall underwhelming. Bar staff very pleasant and helpful. Table waitress had no finesse and rather abrupt. It’s a shame the management don’t seem to be able to keep regular staff, maybe the problems lie there!!

Great food and great service. Roast dinner was plentiful and well cooked with an excellent selection of vegetables.
