James Beard Award nominee Edward Lee brings his Korean roots and Southern repertoire to a soulful Southern menu.SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

The service was good and the food was delicious. One downside is the advertisement of $23.95 BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS, which is false because there is a .35 cent charge for each refill. Please adjust the menu description from either Bottomless or refills are .35 cent.

Order the Cabbage! Yes, you read that right. I don’t like cabbage, but I’m definitely coming back for their plate. Everything I thought I wouldn’t like I did like at this place. The five course meal is worth it. Get there early because of the bread once it’s gone it’s gone

Run, do not walk, to Succotash! I was not expecting much, as I am a Northerner, and greens and grits are out of my wheelhouse. But everything at Succotash was eye-rolling, out-of-this-world delicious. We got the Taste of the South, which is shareable plates of most of everything on the menu. Our server, Xavier, assured us there would be plenty of food, and he was not kidding. We started with kimchi deviled eggs and fried green tomato salad with goat cheese. Then smoked chicken wings and an incredible hot sweet cornbread. The mains included local crispy catfish, BBQ pork ribs, chicken and waffles (amazingly crunchy crust and meltingly tender chicken!), collard greens with country ham, awesome mac'n' cheese. Xavier was magical, whisking away empty plates and bringing new ones. THEN mini pecan pies, and hummingbird cake truffles. We had to get a take-home box. Wow, wow, wow! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff. Everything was hot and beautifully plated. The only things we didn't get were grits and.. succotash!
