From cleaning bushels of raw tomatoes to jarring the sauce with fresh basil there was always enough made so you never left Sunday dinner hungry. I recently celebrated a birthday at Plado in Glen Cove, and it was an incredible experience! The restaurant offers a unique tapas-style menu, allowing us to try a variety of dishes, and each one was outstanding. The steak and lamb were cooked to perfection, but the real standout for me was their cavoletti—an exceptional Brussels sprouts dish bursting with flavor. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch, making the evening even more enjoyable. While it’s a bit of a drive from the south shore, Plado is absolutely worth the trip for a special occasion or a memorable night out. I can't recommend it enough!
