Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Old San Juan

Our family has been enjoying Marmalade for years. It is our only go to destination for special occasions and we are ALWAYS delighted with the experience. Tonight was no exception- from the professional and thoughtful service- to the food quality and presentation!! Every course was a symphony of incredible combination of textures and flavors- perfectly balanced. The white bean soup- a staple - was even better than I remembered. The lobster risotto was creamy with generous chunks of fresh lobster. The Sea bass melted in my mouth! Of course the chocolate dessert was over the top rich with multiple layers of chocolate textures and a hint of raspberry. The cocktails were unique and yummy. We were made to feel very welcome and the pacing of the meal was impeccable. This is an experience that is not to be missed when you come to discover the best that Puerto Rico has to offer. Fantastic experience at Cocina Abierta! The food and presentation were amazing. Truly a 5-star experience. We had the 5-course tasting menu and each course was great. Our favorite was the tuna carpaccio and beefsteak, but all were excellent. Puerto Rican fine dining at its best!

One of the very best restaurants on the island. Great food. Creative drinks. Great service. Lively vibe inside and in the surrounding neighborhood outside it's doors. I have been many many times and I NEVER have had a bad experience. Can be hard to get into for dinner (you must have a reservation). Lunch is pretty open. Habe the pork shank. Sea bass also is perfevt. The place is just outstanding in every way.

Carli’s will always be a go-to when I’m in San Juan. The atmosphere is lovely, the food fantastic, and the music wonderful. Seeing Carli play during my visit was a real treat! He even played The Tennessee Waltz and Rocky Top on that beautiful grand piano. Wow! BTW, best escargot I’ve ever eaten.

Today we enjoyed the first dinner of 2025 and everything was excellent!!! We enjoyed and will be back soon
