- LLisaVIPCharlotte •21 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe love Dean’s. Tonight they were a little off w the temperature of the steak. The NY strips were spot on but the filet mignon that was ordered medium came out rare. We kept that one for the table, didn’t want to cause any problems, and ordered another one medium. After everyone else was finished with their meal, it came back, again, rare. Sent it back and it came back (same steak) rare. We gave up. Not sure what the issue was. Not sure we’ll be back.More infoDean's Italian SteakhousePrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Uptown•4.6

We were seated in a cozy corner half-booth, and the noise level was perfect for having a conversation. Hope, our server, was attentive and helpful throughout the meal. Cocktails: The Misty Eyed Margarita and the Wild Maple Old-Fashioned were both flavorful and well-crafted. Appetizers: The yeast rolls were warm and delicious. The burrata was also tasty, but at $28 for a small portion, it felt overpriced, especially since it wasn’t served with bread until I requested it. Entrées: While the pasta portions were on the smaller side, everything was expertly prepared and full of flavor. We tried the Bison Bolognese, Mushroom Agnolotti, and Szechuan Beef Bowl - all with thoughtful and deep flavor profiles. Dessert: We ended with the Cranberry Orange Zeppole Donuts, which were very good and a delightful way to finish the meal. Overall, it was a great experience, and we look forward to returning.More infoPeppervinePrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• SouthPark•4.7
- KKayLos Angeles •5 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe found the Fug Tree on Open table and a travel blog recommendation and it was exactly what we were looking for! We had a fabulous time celebrating my daughter’s 23rd birthday trip from Los Angeles -- and met others celebrating their anniversaries. We shared 2 apps, a salad, 1 main, and ordered 3 drinks (2 different cocktails and a glass of wine) — and unfortunately didn’t have room for dessert which we were looking forward to — but they still brought some homemade chocolates on a plate inscribed Happy Birthday with a candle, which was lovely! The wait staff were very personable and took great care of us including splitting shared dishes without being asked. The cocktails were unique and yummy. The food was a fantastic mix of flavors and cooked to perfection. The house was tastefully decorated for the holidays. Compared to LA prices it was at least 50% less expensive than a similar experience — but we did tip a lot more than we usually would since service was fantastic and min wage in NC is about 1/4 of that in CA.More infoThe Fig Tree Restaurant - Charlotte, NCPrice: Very Expensive• Continental• Elizabeth•4.8
- CCaitlinVIPCharlotte •9 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoHad a wonderful dinner at Sea Grill Restaurant to celebrate my dad’s birthday! The ambiance was beautiful - very classy and elegant! They really amped up the “ocean” vibes throughout the restaurant. They have an upstairs and a downstairs. We were seated downstairs near the bar, but the noise level was perfect for our party of 6. Upstairs it was much more lively, but still very nice. The service was top notch. They knew we were celebrating a birthday, and our initial interaction with our waitress was when she brought complimentary champagne to the table and a birthday card (so nice!). Cassandra was very attentive throughout the meal and made the experience even more pleasant. Overall, the food was very good! Of the appetizers we ordered, our favorites were the crab croquettes and grilled octopus. The baked oysters were take it or leave it for us - the oysters were almost nonexistent. For the main courses, we did the beef Wellington (great!), salt-baked branzino for two (so good!), and the lamb chops (stellar!), along with asparagus, seasonal vegetables, and parsley risotto. My dad received a complimentary tiramisu for his dessert (not a fan). We also ordered the crème brûlée (pretty good), pear carpaccio (not bad), and the velvet passion (our favorite!). The center has valet parking or you can self-park. Also, special shoutout to Raven - she also was a memorable part of our experience! We had a great experience and we look forward to returning!More infoSea Grill Restaurant and BarPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Charlotte•4.7
