Best Fine Dining Restaurants in West Malling

Delicious food and lovely friendly staff. Between our table we ordered most of the menus and it was all delicious and beautifully presented, the only dish I wouldn’t order again was the side of cabbage which was a little too pretentious but otherwise everything else was exquisite especially the reductions and sauces! It definitely fine dining so don’t expect hearty platefuls of food but three courses with the addition of the complimentary horderves and large portion of freshly baked artisan breads means you don’t walk away hungry. The only slight let down for me was the decor. The tables were a little lackluster and the ladies toilet in the bar side was not somewhere you’d want to frequent! Our particular table was right by the door which anyone who walked out of neglected to shut mainly because the pile of coats right next to it made it tricky- only really a problem for the winter months and the staff were quick to notice and close it if they were in the room at the time. However, this didn’t detract from the presentation of the food which more than made up for the interior. The staff were all very friendly and polite- just the right balance of attentiveness. I’d definitely go back again for another special occasion and would recommend it to friends- just ask to not sit by the door!

I chose St Leonard’s for a joint birthday celebration with a special girlfriend. Our lunch really was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. From ensuring we were given a quiet table (a written request in my Open Table booking), to the warm and friendly welcome; attentive, professional staff; the beautiful surroundings; the delicious, artfully prepared food. Really wonderful. We decided on the spot that St Leonard’s will become the annual location for our joint birthday celebration, plus other celebrations in between! Thank you chef and all the staff at St Leonard’s for all you do to provide such a terrific experience.

Wow! We went to The Poet for the first time last night to celebrate a significant birthday and it was fantastic. From the moment we entered the building we were made to feel very special. The food was amazing and the staff very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed every bit of the evening. I would highly recommend The Poet to anyone wanting to experience top quality restaurant food and wine.

The food was outstanding with very friendly staff just to top it off. A very nice evening all round. So nice to find such a lovely restaurant in close proximity to home.

Can't recommend this highly enough! Food was outstanding, and for fine dining, quite a lot of it! You won't go hungry! A good balanced wine list, and friendly competent staff. Everything was just amazing and my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Michelin star quality for better value!
