Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Oakland

The food was absolutely outstanding. We indulged in the Lamb Chops, Sea Bass, Spanakopita, and Crab Cakes. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection, bursting with rich, savory flavor. The Sea Bass was incredibly tender, enveloped in a delicate tomato and onion sauce that elevated the dish beautifully. The Spanakopita was wrapped in a perfectly crisp, flaky crust and was utterly delicious. The Crab Cakes were exceptional, with a delightful balance of flavor and texture. The service was top-notch; the staff demonstrated a deep knowledge of the menu and could expertly describe each dish with enthusiasm. However, our only minor concern was that the staff seemed to hover a bit too closely, almost watching our every move. While we truly appreciated their attentiveness, it did create a slightly uncomfortable and overly attentive atmosphere. Be aware that there is not a lot of vegetarian options.

Outrageously & consistently superb! Everything about makes it one of the best restaurants in Bergen County. As soon as you walk in, you are graciously welcomed. I highly recommend it! As’first’-timers were thoroughly enjoyed or dining experience. From the welcome reception we received to the hard chocolate coconut dessert, and everyone/thing in between, the dinner service was professionally served and expertly prepared! We’re pleased to add First to our local rotation.

The Saddle River Inn is by far the best restaurant in Bergen county. My guests traveled all the way from Brooklyn, NY, and were absolutely in awe of the entire experience. The Christmas holiday decorations adding an extra layer of magic and charm to the already stunning ambiance. The food was perfection—every dish bursting with flavor and plated beautifully. The entire menu was a hit! Even my foodie guests, who are used to Brooklyn’s top dining spots, couldn’t stop raving about it. With the festive decor, cozy-yet-elegant vibe, and next-level cuisine, the Saddle River Inn made our holiday gathering truly unforgettable.
