Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Carle Place

Went for Thanksgiving dinner. My server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was excellent. Drinks were a bit pricy and there was a draft making it chilly in there but overall a good meal and experience. I plan to visit again in the future.

A usual haunt for us. Over 25 years and counting. Thanksgiving was fabulous. The food was a tad saltier than I prefer but I’ll deal with that in my own time. Vinikay served magnificent cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. Dessert wouldn’t fit so we opted for a Thanksgiving menu meal to go. It has a small pumpkin cheesecake in it. She bid us farewell, wished us good tidings, and we told her we’ll be back. Because we will. I’m not wild about the new decor but that’s just because I miss the ambiance from years past. It’s a staple on Long Island. Come see for yourselves.

Celebrated Thanksgiving at this first-class fine-dining restaurant and it did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in, we were made to feel welcome. The food and wait staff were impeccable, even on a holiday during which there were three seatings scheduled. The pumpkin bisque, which started the meal, had a show-stopping presentation - it was in a small white pumpkin surrounded by autumn leaves. The rest of the meal from first course through dessert were perfection. A unique feature of the decor are enormous crystals of red salt, encased in glass and which were backlit for dramatic effect, a nod to the chef’s use of the ingredient in curing his dry-aged steaks that are displayed along the front wall of the restaurant. Will definitely dine here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a special meal.

My wife and I, born 2 days apart celebrated our birthdays with our 4 children and had an amazing experience as we always do at Uncle Baccalas. We took advantage of their anniversary price fix menu. The rigatoni a la vodka was great as was my chicken francaise. My son’s short rib fell off the bone and my wife’s chicken piccata was so tender. My other two children truly enjoyed their grilled salmon. Their only complaint was that it came with a lot of mushrooms on the side which if they knew they would have asked to leave off or replace. Desserts were delicious and enjoyed with the staff singing happy birthday to us and my youngest enjoying the giant cotton candy he got. Never a bad experience at one of our favorite restaurants.

Didn’t love the tiny chopped chicken salad. It was kind of dry but the waitress was great and I genuinely like this place for lunch
