Best Fine Dining Restaurants in New City

I’ve said it many times but it can’t be said enough. This is the best restaurant in Rockland County. I’ve lived in the county for 51 years and though there are many terrific restaurants IL Portico is in a class by itself. Pepe and Paige are unique hosts creating an atmosphere that is both relaxed and elegant at the same time. The food is presented superbly and is always delicious. The service is always outstanding. If you have not eaten here, you are doing yourself a disservice. If you eat here once, you will be back many more times. Treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience

Excellent service. I usually dine here for dinner so the lunch menu was new to me although we did start with the Greek salad and saganaki, which are staple go to apps. Both were prepared very well and consistent with past visits. I tried the fish and chips for the first time and while it was good, I thought the price was a bit steep for just one moderate size piece of fried sea bass. The platter was filled mostly with a basket of fries and accompaniments like shredded lettuce, a sliced tomato and asparagus. For the price I would stick with their simply grilled fish options, which is what I usually order for dinner. We tried the almond cake for dessert which was tasty and a nice finish to our meal.

We crave Park Steak House! It has a cozy environment and fantastic food and folks! We consider it the perfect spot for an any night meal or a special occasion. The wait staff is always professional and warm. It’s been a family tradition to enjoy meals at Park Steak House for many years and will be for many more to come!

Was a little disappointed because it was Valentine’s Day and we were three women. They wanted to seat us not at table but three tall chairs facing straight ahead looking at glass. When we were going to leave he put us at a table and said we should be out in an hour. We took it and had a very fast but good pre fix dinner and were out in 1 1/4 hr Guess because Valentines Day and needed quick turn over.

We started with freshly prepared calamari and a good bottle of wine. Then 3 different types of steak coupled with mashed potatoes French fries and asparagus. Creme brûlée and raspberry sorbet. More than enough food and leftovers to enjoy the next day. The service was exceptional and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Definitely will return
