Best Fine Dining Restaurants in National City

We had reservations to celebrate our anniversary there on a Saturday night. When the hostess greeted us she congratulated us on our anniversary and led us promptly to our table with a view. She also sprinkled some red heart shaped confetti on our table! Our server was the AMAZING Gil, he had been our waiter before. Gil is the most attentive, polite, knowledgeable server we have ever had at ANY restaurant. My filet was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The sweet potato side dish is amazing. The cheesecake dessert was delicious! Gil made sure we had everything we needed and it was a perfect meal! Thank you!

You can't go wrong -- fantastic views, great food, outstanding service. Checks all the boxes. A top restauraunt, one of the best in San Diego, that makes for a memorable occasion. One note that may be helpful: we went for Jazz brunch on a Saturday, and despite the band playing in the bar, the volume was just right and we could easily hear each other speak.

Beautiful view of the harbor - how can one not enjoy lunch! Our Waitress was very pleasant, accommodating and happy! The Support Sever was on point, gracious, and quick. The Mahi Mahi sandwich was very good and very tasty French fries, iced tea was fresh.

They were very engaging and we loved everything they recommended!! The service was next-level. These guys were awesome 👏 they didn’t miss a single detail. Now, the food—absolutely divine!! It was a wonderful meal 😋 We Loved it!! ANIMAL isn’t just a place to eat—it’s an experience!! If you’re looking for a spot to impress, or just to indulge, ANIMAL it is!! It’s worth every peso, and then some! Definitely recommend 💯

The Grant Grill certainly knows how to uphold its identity as a landmark location in the area. Every appetizer, entrée, and dessert was spectacular. The three of us nearly licked our plates clean. The service was phenomenal, our waiter was funny and informative about everything on the menu. We came here for a special occasion, and the team at Grant Grill made it all the more special. We are certainly looking forward to a chance to return and try something now.
