Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Esher

I came across this restaurant by accident… my husband thought I should have a break from cooking Christmas dinner having done it for 48 years.. Family of six and a dog looking for a nice restaurant other than traditional Christmas fare.. And boy did we find this amazing place. I would say in my humble opinion that this is probably the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to. The menu is small but the flavour is spectacular it’s not about throwing a handful of chillies and calling it a curry it’s about paring the right spices and herbs and making delicious dishes.. Roots definitely know how to do that.. each dish was so different, so fragrant and very tasty too. The tables are dressed beautifully, every detail is carefully chosen to make this amazing restaurant. And a real bonus to be able to take your dog there too..I will definitely recommend this place.. and I will definitely be going back.

This is true gem in Surbiton and I feel lucky that we have such an exquisite treat on our door steps. The food was exquisite and the service is impeccable and I think very fair in price and value. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place as everything about it is really special. The people who look after you are knowledgable and personable and nothing is too much trouble. You get excellent advice on pairing wines to go with your dishes and the whole experience is effortless and memorable. Have been doing an annual trip for Christmas for a few years now and have been on the odd ocassion at other times and will continue to do this as each time the experience is amazing.

A Wonderful Dining Experience We visited Trinca last night to celebrate a birthday, and it was nothing short of amazing. The food was absolutely fantastic—every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. You can tell the chefs take great pride in their work. The owner personally looked after us, making us feel truly special and ensuring every detail of our celebration was perfect. It’s rare to find that level of care and attention these days, and it made the evening even more memorable. The wine selection was impressive, offering something for every palate and perfectly complementing the meal. Thank you for making our celebration so wonderful—we can’t wait to return!

Went for a pre Twickenham Sunday lunch. Great location being able to park outside and views of the river. Lovely food and brilliant service and an easy trip to the stadium afterwards
