Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution. The relaxing atmosphere inside makes it the perfect place to get to work on a rack of ribs, lobster Rangoon, Thai chili calamari or nachos.     Overall experience was good. However, it’s not the same as it used to be. Wedge salad came with a slab of bacon as opposed to bacon bits, which I found difficult to cut up. Waiters and waitresses used to come around more often to refill wine. Just different small things that have changed that you would expect from a high-end restaurant.

    We had a booth in the bar area, a choice of lunch and dinner menus, and an attentive waiter. Sunday afternoon was a good choice! Food was excellent as were the cocktails, would definitely recommend.

    Food and drinks were delicious. Serve was attentive. The restaurant had many great gluten free options and were respectful of my dietary needs. The only thing that I would have preferred is regular tables rather than high-top seating.

    Our table for 6 was ready on time even though the place was very busy on a Friday night. The food and drinks were both awesome. Maggie our server was terrific as she was friendly attentive and very hard working. Thank you! Jeff S
