- JJoyLos Angeles •10 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoToo often in LA restaurants are priced like they are a once or twice-a-year super high-end blowout when they're just a nice or sort-of interesting dining experience. Redbird is where we go when we want to treat ourselves to a truly exquisite evening. Their wine list is incredible, but we often get distracted by the beautiful cocktails. Menu is small and crafted at a super high level by chef Neal Fraser. Beautiful location, though it can be chilly on winter nights. We had to ask to move to a table closer to the heat lamps. Service is impeccable but not too much. We're always wowed and leave feeling special and deeply satisfied. Simply put, Redbird is our favorite fine restaurant in Los Angeles. Happy hour is a great deal here if you want to start small and check the vibe.More infoRedbird - Los AngelesPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.8
- DDianeLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoLast evening was my first visit to Girl & the Goat. I could not have asked for a better first impression/tasting of any restaurant in Los Angeles. From the wait-staff to the chef of the evening, we were treated as VIPs. The drinks were described to a T, and were served immediately. Note: the Goat Fashioned was probably the best, smoothest, New Fashioned I’ve ever had. We ordered seven items from the menu, which were brought to us in the order of our servers discretion - each one was outstanding. My guests and I took a vote of our top two favorites, and it was a complete mix – everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.More infoGirl & the Goat L.A.Price: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.7

The view from here is spectacular , L.A. looks so peaceful. The food is excellent. Our table was in front of the kitchen an you can see the way they work and the care they put in every plate. It was the perfect anniversary dinner. ThanksMore info71AbovePrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.6
- AAlexLos Angeles •17 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoSplendid experience all around! Our server, Alex, was lovely. Our food was presented so beautifully. My friend and I had a lovely time dining & catching up before we went to see a show across the street. It was just such a divine experience that I am planning to take others back to San Laurel. The only problem was that my mocktail was made with alcohol. I don’t drink because I’m sober so it was very concerning that such an error occurred. That’s never happened in all my years of ordering mocktails at other fine establishments. After two sips and having my friend try it, I was convinced that there was indeed tequila added to my lime-based drink so I asked the waiter about it and he quickly whisked it away and brought me a true mocktail that tasted of citrus and definitely had no alcohol in it. That was a weird experience. The evening ended on a great note with a surprise complementary flan dessert for my friend’s birthday that included a candle and song-a very nice touch. Of special note is that the chef is actually accommodating to guests’ dietary sensitivities such as the need for gluten and dairy free ingredients. Such a breath of fresh air since other fine dining spots don’t usually like to make such modifications to their menu items. It was very much appreciated by this diner. Thank you San Laurel!More infoSan LaurelPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Downtown•4.8
