The Assembly House is a gorgeous Georgian gem perfectly located in the heart of Norwich. We set out to create the kind of establishment we'd love to find in one of the UK's most beautiful cities, one where old-fashioned hospitality is valued, food is delicious and where beautiful surroundings can be found hidden around every corner.From breakfast where we serve our unique Beforenoon Tea - the breakfast edition of afternoon tea - to lunch which includes Assembly House classics and grazing boards, we're open seven days a week. We're most famous for our themed afternoon teas which change regularly and are served from noon until last service at 3.30pm daily. As the Home of Afternoon Tea, we also serve some spectacular savoury versions of tea, including Beforenoon Tea, seafood option Afternoon Sea and our cheese-based option Afternoon Cheese. All good but I was left standing at the bar for a while on arrival and had to ask to be shown to a table but all in all staff were lovely and enjoyed my visit..second visit on a couple of weeks and enjoyed both, will be back

This was the best meal I’ve ever had there. £10 for pasta and a glass of wine. We were originally sat where a group of really noisy pub goers were shouting, but the staff facilitated us to move to a quieter area of the pub, they were really good at checking in with us too through the evening. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but I really enjoyed it.

Friendly staff. Lovely ambience. Food was served quickly and staff were aware we were celebrating a birthday. So we never felt rushed. Both the mains and puddings were delicious and portions were just right. I personally have been to the Boars half a dozen times and have never been disappointed. I'm always happy to recommend.

Breakfast here was the best way to start our day and the selection suited everyone, from my vegetarian full breakfast to the American pancakes with bacon and syrup and Full English the others had. The service was friendly and fast and we were very well looked after, as it has been every time we've visited. The Assembly House is one of my favourite places in Norwich and I'm happy to recommend them.
