Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine. Our aim is to deliver an extraordinary and immersive dining experience where the servers guide guests through an exploration of many small plates highlighting seasonal ingredients while offering insight into each dish. We also offer an optional wine pairing and are able to accommodate many dietary restrictions with advance notice.Avelo hosts two dinner seatings per evening where guests choose between the 5-course or the 8-course* tasting menu.     From beginning to end everything was exceptional. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was enthusiastic, took her time explaining various dishes and recommendations. The presentation was beautiful and the food was unparalleled. I can’t wait to go back and am determined to try everything on the menu.

    We had the 8 course tasting menu which, n fact, is 11 separate plates when you include the small Amuse Bouche servings interspersed through the other courses. The food was amazing - creative, beautifully plated and, above all, delicious. The chef is a master of his craft, that the dishes are all vegan makes it even more impressive. The servers - Amy and Serena - enhanced the overall experience. They had a very deep understanding of each plate and were so personable that they enhanced the overall experience. One member of our party was also gluten sensitive and the restaurant accommodated them with no fuss and just a minimal change to some of the courses. Just make sure you highlight any allergies or food sensitivity with your reservation. Honestly, this is a vegan restaurant that would cater to anyone who is looking for a unique and enjoyable dining experience.
