Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. Food was very good. Service was excellent. It’s loud in there because there isn’t much to break up the noise but that’s not a deal breaker. We were a little surprised at the portion sizes of the pasta dishes. I’m not saying they should serve an entire family but they seemed a little skimpy. The branzino was delicious. We’ll go back for sure.

Amazing food and the service is top notch. A bit pricey but you feel like they are working for it. The warm bread they serve with the 1st course is unbelievable - I ordered some to go. All their pasta dishes were excellent. We had the tasting menu, no regrets. I can’t wait to go again.

Wonderful evening celebrating the birthday of our 35 year old twins. The food was outstanding and the service by Callie exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s so rare to find someone who is friendly, accommodating of allergies and a time constraint yet manages to make you feel like a valued guest. Our dinner started with the chicken parm pizza for the table, little gem caesar, then dover sole, lasagna and filet mignon meatballs. Absolutely delicious!
