Best Gluten Free Restaurants in Waukegan

Our server Mike, was just the best. He was funny, witty and we were never behind. Even the water glasses stayed full. I had the turtle soup, everyone else had a salad. I couldn’t tell that it was turtle or some other delicacy but it was thick, a little spicy and I’ll do it again. We came for the Lake County Flavor Festival and that was a little confusing. We had at least 3 different menus on the table, all similar at different prices. I saw that happen Christmas Eve and prices and menus varied across the table. I think the management can’t handle the various programs and can’t deal with similar items costing vastly different prices when ordered at the same table. Still a great place, just know there may be confusion when the bill arrives.

First time diner and just arrived in town. What a fabulous experience. The server was super nice and friendly. She was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and wines. We had the pot stickers, drunken shrimp & egg rolls as appetizers… WOW! Clean plate club! Dinner was even better! 2 of us had the Flank steak & - had the braised short ribs. Whew…. Grand grand finally was the salted Carmel crem brûlée & chocolate cake. We are still talking about it this morning. Thank you for such a great experience and wonderful food. Radley Muller

We went to Primo on a Wednesday night 2/19 with another couple. It was not our first visit and will no be our last. Wednesday is half price wine night on selected wines. Our waiter was ourstanding. Food cooked to perfection. Overall it was a wonderful evening.

It was a lovely lunch. It's a very pretty restaurant. The food was good and the service was good also. We liked the menu and will be back to also try some other options. WE had the crispy vegetarian rolls, the chicken dumplings and the tuna tartar. I think the rolls were our favorite. Also the speical shaken teas from the bar were really great!

Mickey Finn’s is laid back, decent food, great atmosphere! You MUST try the Santa’s Magic beer, seasonal from November until it runs out-my favorite!!
