Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Atlantic Highlands

Excellent food and service as usual. We love AH and so does everyone we bring there.

There was an area wide power outage Thanksgiving Day during our visit so our food was some of the last to come out as this occurred. My monkfish was great, but needed more flavor, the prosciutto was crispy and tasty, mashed potatoes delicious, broccolini excellent. The restaurant was a little chilly overall, being a windy rainy day it should have been warmer. Excellent server Ray, greeted warmly when we walked in. Clams casino and lobster bisque were incredible. My husband got the lobster pie and loved it. Nice hot biscuits at the table were simple but so good as well. Overall an excellent outing even with the power outage, minimal lighting was on but it was mid-afternoon so not dark inside. We had Easter dinner here a few years ago and enjoyed it as well. Why don't we go more often!

This was my first time at the rum runner, even though I’ve lived here in Monmouth County for 35 years. I’m not sure what I was walking into however, I must say the place looked wonderful. We were seated fairly quickly given that it was Thanksgiving day. The weight staff was personable and attentive. I enjoyed the food although I wish they would’ve had prime rib as one of my choices Instead of ham. I also wish they would’ve had dark meat instead of all white turkey meat, but that’s a personal preference. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Tonight is the first time I have had a hamburger here and as to be expected Peter’s recipe for the French Onion Burger is the very best I have ever had! Thanks Peter! And I was lucky enough to have my favorite cocktail … even though it was no longer on the menu! Thank you one and all for a wonderful dinner … and Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁

My 2 girlfriends and I had a wonderful meal and experience here!! Loved the food and the holiday decorations!! And our waitress Wendy was incredible, and got us whatever we needed or wanted asap! She was very attentive, friendly and just a lovely person! We will absolutely be back again!
