- TTeresaNew York City •10 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFood is incredibly good, prices are fair for the portions. Drinks are great too. My only complaint is the space between tables. And generally speaking is a really small room. Other than that my experience was pretty good.staff was super friendly.More infoBijan's BrooklynPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown Brooklyn•4.5

- SShannonNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 15, 2025Shan was recommended by a female duo I follow on IG...bklynmavens. The experience surpassed my expectations, every dish was delicious with a bit of spice but not to overwhelm. My dinner companion does not eat meat and our waiter suggested the Dan Dan noodles without pork and it was a home run, she's currently looking up a recipe online to attempt it at home lol. She had the prawn dry pot as well and we both did the happy dance when tasted. I was not disappointed with my duck entree that came with buns, duck was cook to perfection and the sauce was perfect for that meal. We split the coconut cotta dessert, different for us but a welcomed change, tasty yet light. We will definitely return with others to experience Shan. Thank you for the good food and service!More infoShan SzechuanPrice: Moderate• Sichuan• Cobble Hill•4.8
- AAndreaSouthwest Florida •18 reviews4.0Dined on Feb 14, 2025We made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for Valentine’s Day. We arrived on time and there were still many open tables. The hostess (Josephine) leads us to a table directly next to the door. When I requested a table in the back (at least 3 open tables) she said in an extremely rude manner that she would not give me a table in the back and would only offer me the table next to the door. She further angrily stated that she has 64 reservations for that night. That’s fine but if there are many open tables when a patron arrives they should be given the opportunity to have a table that is not next to the door where the cold air hit us every time the door opened. The reservation is for a certain time NOT for a specific table so why was I denied the table I requested when there were so many open tables. The waitress was great, the food was delicious and a good value for the price. Josephine needs to learn how to politely deal with patrons if she is to stay in the hospitality industry.More infoTaikiPrice: Expensive• Sushi• Boerum Hill•4.5
- DDawnNew York City •1 review5.0Dined on Feb 14, 2025I normally wouldn't leave Ft. Greene for a restaurant, but this Mexican place had dairy free/gluten free (assuming you can have pure corn). Ruta Oaxaca really decorated so fabulous for Valentine's Day. They printed the specials menu on paper with hearts. This graphic designer appreciates these extras. Then they had a special pink mescal drink for the day and an alcohol-free Corona. There were other alcohol-free drinks on the menu but they were sold out. Sweet, but not cloying so (unless you eat the candy decoration they put in it). They put together a special Valentine's day menu. I had the chicken breast sitting in sauce made of delicious black beans, corn and Mexican black mole sauce. I love black mole so I was in heaven. My wife had verde chicken enchiladas and was equally pleased. We had tea and then got a box for the leftovers. We'll definitely be back. Ruta Oaxaca, please put a chicken & mole dish with cheese optional on the regular menu!More infoRuta Oaxaca - BrooklynPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Cobble Hill•4.8
